Sisters, friend, and Nanook, quiet afternoon, an island in Maine.
Light, red negative space, congested repetition of circles, and the intimate, quiet mood of my nieces napping and sewing, and their French friend reading an American comic book.
Reflection in the window of a subway car in New York City
Two sisters through the years holding prints of photographs. No Photoshop trickery.
The first photo was taken in New York City at Suzanne's Park Avenue apartment when Laura was 4 and Joan was 8. They held that photo in their hands a few years later and I shot them again. This is a third iteration, taken in College Station. Always the light is from the right.
